New students on a research postgraduate course

If you are a new student who is matriculating (registering) with the University of St Andrews for the first time, you will need to complete the steps outlined below.

After you have confirmed your acceptance of offer to study on a postgraduate research programme, Registry will send you an entrant email. Applications progress at different rates, so do not be concerned if you have not received your email yet; also be sure to check that emails from st-andrews.ac.uk do not go into your junk or spam folder.

Once you have received your entrant email, you should complete the following steps.

After matriculation

Please contact your supervisor in the first instance if you have any queries regarding any aspect of your studies or life at the University of St Andrews. Another useful reference source is the policies for students in research postgraduate programmes.
