Student ID cards

New students

Upload your ID card photo before you arrive at the University so IT Services have time to produce your ID card. To prevent delays, make sure your photo meets the Government's passport photo guidelines.

  1. Log in to the student ID card portal with your University username and password.
  2. Click Choose File and upload your photo. If you have any issues, email Campus Card Services.
  3. You'll receive an email saying whether your photo has been accepted or rejected. If it's rejected, you'll need to retake it, upload it again and it might not be ready for the start of your course.

After you've arrived at the University, pick up your ID card from your Halls of Residence. If you aren't staying in Halls, you can pick it up from the Main Library.

 

Request a replacement card

If you've lost your card, let us know then order a replacement for £20 in MySaint.

  1. Log in to MySaint.
  2. Click the Library and IT tab.
  3. Scroll down to the Lost ID Cards widget.
  4. Tick the I understand that my card will be cancelled box.
  5. Click Report card lost.
  6. You'll get an email asking you to visit the Online Shop to pay the £20 replacement fee.

Change the photo on your card

Make sure your photo follows the Government's passport guidelines. Then you can either:

  • Email your photo to Campus Card Services, or
  • Post it to ID cards, IT Services, Bute Building, Westburn Lane, St Andrews, KY16 9TS.

If you can't get into a building

  1. Check you have access in the first place. If the room or building you need is within a:
    • School, contact the School Manager or admin office;
    • Professional Service Unit, contact the building contact or admin office;
    • Hall of Residence, contact the Residence Service Manager.
  2. Check the opening hours of the building. Although you have access to the building during normal working hours, you might need to request access if you need to get in out of hours
  3. Let Campus Card Services know by filling out the problem report form.

If your card's been stolen

Contact Campus Card Services to let them know your card's been stolen. They'll be able to advise whether it's been handed in to save you ordering a new card.

If it's been stolen between 5pm on Friday and 9am on Monday, let the Library Service Desk know. 


What to do if there's a mistake on your card

  1. Contact Campus Card Services to let them know the correct information, whether it's your name or a date. Include your student ID number.
  2. You'll receive an email once the information has been updated.
  3. Pick up your new card from the Main Library. Remember to take your old card with you or you may be charged the £20 replacement fee.

Pick up your new card

Cards are printed twice a day and delivered to the IT help point in the Main Library at 1:30pm and 5pm.

Monday to Thursday

If you pay for your new card before noon, pick it up on the same day after 5pm.

If you pay for your new card after noon, pick it up the following day after 1:30pm.

Friday to Sunday

Campus Card Services don't print cards at the weekend. This means if you order a new card after 5pm on Friday, you won't be able to pick it up until Monday after 1:30pm.
