Performance warning

You will receive a performance warning letter from the relevant Associate Dean/Provost if your module results in the preceding semester give some cause for concern, but you are not at immediate risk of failing to meet senate regulations.

The performance warning letter will remind you of the various sources of advice and support that are available to you from your Adviser of Studies, Student Services and CEED. You will be required to submit a written statement to your Adviser of Studies, describing what factors have affected your academic performance, and how you intend to address them in future.

A performance warning will be triggered if:

  • you fail any module, or
  • you are on an Honours degree programme in Arts, Divinity or Science, and your grade is below 11 in all of your modules, or
  • you are on an Honours degree programme in Medicine, and your average grade is below 11.
