Set up UniPrint

University staff and students are able to set up UniPrint on their devices to allow them to use the University's pull print system. If your device has been provided by IT Services, University printers will already be installed.

1. Sign in to AppsAnywhere.
2. If you haven't used AppsAnywhere before, you may need to set it up first.
3. Find UniPrint from the list of available applications.
4. Click Download.
5. Double click on the download file to install.
If you are unable to use Apps Anywhere, you may wish to set up UniPrint manually.
1. Type 'Printers' into the Windows search box
2. From the search results, select Printers & scanners
3. Click (+) Add a printer or scanner
4. Select The printer I want isn't listed
5. Click Select a shared printer by name then copy and paste the following address into the text field: https://print.st-andrews.ac.uk/printers/queue/.printer
6. Click Next
Once installed, you will see UniPrint on https://print.st-andrews.ac.uk' as an option in the print menu.
Staff using University-supplied Macs can install UniPrint from the Self Service app:
1. Open Spotlight search on your Mac and search for Self Service
2. Open the Self Service app, scroll down to UniPrint (Xerox), and click Install
You should now see 'Uniprint Xerox' on your list of available printers.

For student devices or personal devices:
1. Download macOS Print and Scan Driver Installer
2. Open the DMG and install the PKG file
3. When asked during installation to select a printer, skip this stage. Complete the driver installation.
4. Open "System Preferences/System Settings" on your Mac.
5. Click 'Add Printer, Scanner or Fax'.
6. Click on "Printers & Scanners."
7. Right click on the toolbar. (or hold down Control key and click on a MacBook)
8. Customise Toolbar...
9. Drag Advanced to the toolbar
10. Select Advanced
11. Select from the type drop down select Internet Printing Protocol (https)
12. Enter the URL as: https://ipp.st-andrews.ac.uk/printers/Uniprint
13. Name: Uniprint IPP
14. Use: Select Software...
15. Select Xerox AltaLink C8055
16. Click Ok
17. Click add
Find your nearest PC classroom

Web Print

Web Print allows you to upload PDFs and collect them at any University printer without the need to install anything. This service only supports A4 black and white printing.

Sign into the online printing portal (the same one you use to top up your credits)
Select Web Print from the left hand menu
Select Submit a job
Choose how many copies you need then select Upload documents
Once you select Upload and complete, collect your printed document from any University printer
