COVID-19 UpdateWe are offering appointments via video or audio calls with our Advisers and Counsellors using Microsoft Teams. When making an appointment please indicate your preference for a video call, audio call or online chat.  If you encounter problems accessing your appointment via Teams or there are practical or personal barriers to doing so, please email the ASC or your adviser and we will be happy to work with you to explore options for you to access the service.

Staff at the ASC are there for any query, from paying bills, to obtaining an academic transcript, seeking advice on visas, making a complaint, personal issues, or any other student matters.

Please note we are not open to drop-in at the moment and it is by appointment only.

Encountered any difficulties?

If your experience with Student Services was not as expected, or if you haven’t formed a good rapport with your Adviser/Counsellor and wish to explore this informally, please contact Ellen Mackintosh ( or Dr Penny Turnbull ( Assistant Directors of Student Services.  We want to understand what went wrong and resolve the matter quickly, and where appropriate, put you in touch with an alternative member of our team or external source of support.

Please also be aware that the University has Complaints Handling Procedure for formally addressing concerns.
