University night bus
All staff and students of the University of St Andrews can use the free University night bus. You must show your staff or student ID card to the driver.
The St Andrews town bus goes from the main University Library around St Andrews, returning to the main Library. Locations and pick up times are listed below. The last Library time is drop off only.
Passengers who behave antisocially may be refused entry to the bus and will be referred by the driver to the University’s Security and Response team. You cannot take food or drink on the bus. Please be aware that a bus may have to be cancelled at short notice.

Stagecoach late evening service
Local bus company, Stagecoach, provides a late evening service between Dundee and St Andrews during the week that University students and staff can use for free by showing a University ID card.
The subsidised service runs from Monday to Thursday during term time. It will stop in the early hours of Thursday 19 December 2024 and start again on Monday 27 January 2025.
Stagecoach's existing late services will continue on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
St Andrews town bus timetable
The St Andrews night bus will run from Saturday 7 September to Friday 20 December 2024.
The subsidised service will start again after the winter break on Monday 27 January 2025 and finish on Friday 23 May 2025.
There will be no service running during vacation week, from Saturday 1 March to Sunday 9 March 2025.

Stagecoach late evening timetable
The 99 bus is available free to staff and students from Monday to Thursday during term-time from Monday 9 September to Thursday 19 December 2024.
The service will start again on Monday 27 January 2025 and run until Thursday 22 May 2025.
Only the services listed on the downloadable timetable under 'USTA' are complimentary for staff and students with University ID cards.
