University induction events
Welcome to the University of St Andrews!
To help new staff settle into their new role, the University induction for new staff is provided which all new staff are strongly encouraged to attend. The induction is constantly developing and evolving to include changes, and your feedback is a valuable part of the development process.
The New Staff essentials workshop and the University online induction resources have been developed to compliment the induction and provide information to help you prior to and after starting your role.

University induction for new staff
This induction, organised by OSDS, runs in January and end of August/September. All new staff to the University are strongly encouraged to attend this induction event. For September 2020, this event will take place online via Microsoft Teams and will be split over 2 days (3 & 4 September) For further information and booking:
The target audience for DAY 1 is all new staff, and for DAY 2, Academic & Research staff who should attend both days. However, the topics on DAY 2 may also be of interest to Professional Staff, and they are also welcome to book onto both days.
New staff essentials
This online resource introduces some of the key policies and areas of the University and will provide essential information for all new staff.. All staff are strongly encouraged to sign up as soon as possible after commencing employment. When your booking is received, you will be enrolled in the course, and we will send you the information on how to access.

There is also a quiz at the end to be completed. This course provides information which is in addition to the All New Staff Induction courses (run twice a year in January and September).
