Women

Nationally, women’s professional-level employment rates are higher than men. However, women are still underrepresented in leadership positions and in STEM, finance, and entrepreneurial sectors, among others. The gender pay gap is visible as early as graduation and the Bright Network reports that men are 40% more likely to say they are confident about securing a graduate role than women.

It’s also important to be mindful of intersectionality and understand that underrepresentation and discrimination issues are even greater when race and ethnicity, disability, sexuality, and class are considered in connection to gender.

With this context, this is a collection of career resources for self-identified female students, including finding jobs, internships, and employability events, and information on salary negotiation.
