Why work with St Andrews
The Careers Centre works directly with academic Schools and student societies to gain a greater understanding of our students’ career aspirations. This allows the centre to better shape your engagement programme.
The Careers Centre can work with you to:
- advertise vacancies to our student and graduate communities
- raise your profile by shaping a programme of diverse engagement across the year
- host and share events (for example, workshops, seminars, panels, and business challenges)
- join our careers fairs, which gives you the opportunity to talk to students directly
- explore Employ Autism Higher Education Network internships.
Our students and graduates
The Careers Centre is accessed by over 10,000 current students and around 2,500 recent graduates (who have graduated within the last three years).
Our students receive a world-renowned education that prepares them for working in a professional environment. Across all subjects, students receive many transferable skills applicable to a variety of disciplines and sectors. In addition, as part of the curriculum, students participate in practical work experiences from the moment they join us.
The University currently ranks within the top 100 universities in the world (QS World University Rankings 2024) and top within the UK (Guardian University Guide 2024) and The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2024.
Our students join us from over 130 countries, allowing us to attract the best talent from around the world. International graduates are now able to stay in the UK for longer, giving employers more opportunities to add more diversity and perspectives to their teams.
