Full payment is required at time of booking.

In the event of cancellation by the ticket purchaser, any payments are non-refundable and non-transferable.

In the event of a cancellation by the University of St Andrews, the ticket purchaser will be entitled to a full refund of any monies paid.

All guests must be 18 years or over.

We reserve the right to change or cancel any advertised entertainment due to circumstances beyond our control.

The University of St Andrews cannot be held responsible for lost or stolen articles, or for damage to vehicles or other personal belongings.

As the ticket purchaser, you are responsible for making sure all of your guests are aware of the terms and conditions, including provision of any dietary or access requirements.

We will record the first name, surname, email address and telephone number of all those who purchase tickets and we reserve the right to refuse entry if these details are not provided. For more information on how we manage your data, please see our privacy policy.

How do I receive my tickets?

Your tickets will be sent out to the main contact details listed on the booking in the form of a QR code. On arrival at the venue please have all QR codes available for scanning.

Each table will have 10 seats. If you purchase less than 10 tickets, you may be allocated a table with other party guests.

What is the booking and payment process?

To book, please follow the book now prompts on our website. 

Is there an age requirement for the dinner and ceilidh?

There is a minimum age of 18 to attend either event.

If you are lucky enough to look under 25, you will be asked to provide photographic ID. If no acceptable form of ID can be provided, the guest will not be served. Legally acceptable forms of ID include a full or provisional driver's licence, a passport, EU nationality cards, and YoungScot cards or any other card with a PASS hologram.

Dinner and ceilidh

Arrival at 6.15pm on Saturday 24 January 2026 at Lower College Hall, North Street, St Andrews, KY16 9AL

Ceilidh only

Doors open at 8.30pm on Saturday 24 January 2026 at Younger Hall, North Street, St Andrews, KY16 9AJ

Will there be parking?

There is no event specific parking. There are spaces on North Street, The Scores and throughout the town.

Do you cater for dietary requirements and allergies?

Please provide any dietary or allergy requirements at time of booking. Please provide as much information as possible and, if required, a member of our team will be in touch with further details.

What is the dress code?

Formal or smart casual, a touch of tartan welcome.

Is the venue accessible?

Lower College Hall is accessible to those in wheelchairs or those with limited mobility along a ramp in St Salvator's Quadrangle, accessed from North Street.

Younger Hall is accessible to those in wheelchairs or those with limited mobility from North Street, also along a ramp.
