A key part of Corporate Communications is to ensure a high quality visual content across all print and digital media. The visual communications team includes an in-house photographer who produces and manages a photo gallery of University images that can be used internally and externally and an in-house video producer whose role is to create and support video production using the University brand.
Corporate Communications works closely with University Collections, who hold an extensive archive of historic University pictures that can be requested from their Photographic Library.
The University owns a substantial collection of unique and historic buildings dating from the 16th century to the present day, providing a wide range of both interior and exterior locations which can be hired for feature films, TV dramas, documentaries, adverts, fashion shoots, theatrical productions and events. The University is a full-time academic institution and, as such, there are restrictions regarding the availability of certain locations, particularly during teaching weeks.
To make a filming or photography request, or for more information on locations, fees and availability, email Gayle McIntyre, Senior Visual Communications Manager, or Ed Broughton, Video Producer, on visualcomms@st-andrews.ac.uk.
