St Andrews Summer Lecture Series: Credited option
By the end of the series, you will be able to:
- appreciate the significance of the theme to global, local and personal communities, and how actions to address the theme can offer maximum societal benefit
- discuss the theme from a range of different perspectives and share these perspectives with your communities
- reflect on how the themes of the course have influenced your working practices and employment
- contribute to academic discussions on the theme and place your individual perspective within the need for collective action.
This programme allows you to:
- have full access to the lectures and Q&A sessions
- attend the facilitated small-group discussion following each lecture
You will be asked to submit coursework following the sessions.
On completion of the course, you will receive a certificate of completion and five St Andrews credits at Masters level (these credits will not be able to be used as part of other St Andrews degree programmes).
Recordings of the lectures and discussion groups will be available to you if you cannot attend the live event.
Fees
Free for applicants domiciled in Scotland (subject to eligibility criteria).
Fee for all other applicants: £500
To be eligible to apply for this programme, you must be educated to Honours degree level (or equivalent) and, if your degree was not taught in English, meet the English language requirements.
To qualify for free access through the Scottish Funding Council's Upskilling scheme, you must:
- be aged 25 or over, a resident in Scotland and: either a UK citizen, or if you are an EU citizen, have settled or pre-settled status, or if you are from another country, have a residency permit.
- not currently studying full-time at the University of St Andrews
