SCOTCAT credits

The Scottish Credit Accumulation and Transfer (SCOTCAT) system allows credits gained in Scotland to be transferred between institutions. The number of credits associated with a module gives an indication of the amount of learning effort required by the learner. European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) credits are half the value of SCOTCAT credits.

Module description

This module builds on the foundation study of German language and literature in Module GM1001. Language classes will further develop speaking, reading and writing skills and grammatical competence, using materials which cover aspects of contemporary German society and culture. Lectures and tutorials cover the period from 1989 to the present day, examining the emergence of contemporary German literature and culture in a range of genres.
