Medicine

The School of Medicine at St Andrews offers one undergraduate course, the BSc (Honours) Medicine degree, which is designed to meet the General Medical Council’s expectations expressed in ‘Outcomes for Graduates.’ Students on this degree graduate after three years and move on to one of the University's partner medical schools to complete a further three years of training and graduate with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB/MBBS).

Postgraduate courses offered include taught Masters in Health Psychology and Global Health as well as a range of PhD and MD opportunities. 

The purpose-built research facilities within the School of Medicine provide the infrastructure and academic environment to ensure the sustained development and expansion of medical research in St Andrews in the future.

Medicine facilities

The School of Medicine's purpose-built research facilities provide the infrastructure and academic environment to ensure the sustained development and expansion of medical research in St Andrews in the future. Located in the heart of the science campus, the design fosters interdisciplinary collaboration between medics and scientists and is superbly equipped for teaching, research and conference use.
