Individual Learning Account £200
ILA Scotland - it pays to learn
ILA Scotland is a Scottish Government scheme that helps you pay for learning that you can do at a time, place, pace and in a way to suit you. It is for people who are resident in Scotland, over 16, and who have an earned income of £22,000 a year or less. Most UK students are likely to meet the eligibility criteria.
If you are interested in learning something new or brushing up your skills, there are a wide range of courses available in the local area, including the University's evening language courses in Arabic, Chinese (Mandarin), French, Gaelic (Scottish), German, Italian, Japanese, Russian and Spanish.
To apply for your ILA, phone the freephone number 0808 100 1090 or you can request an application pack on-line. You will be sent out a form to complete and send back to ILA together with supporting documentation. It is advisable to get this in place in plenty of time before the start of the course you are interested in taking.
Please note: only part-time undergraduates are eligible for the Part-time fee grant (formerly known as ILA£500).
