Print, copy or scan using a University printer

Collect your documents using your ID card from any printer.


The printers work on a ‘pull print’ system, allowing you to collect your documents from any connected printer using your ID card within 24 hours.

To print your A4 document from a browser, use Web Print. To print in A3 from your laptop, install the printers from Apps Anywhere.

Print from a browser using Web Print

Web Print allows you to upload PDFs and collect them at any printer without the need to install anything. This service only supports A4 black and white printing.

  1. Log in and select Web Print.
  2. Select Submit a job.
  3. Follow the instructions to select the number of copies and upload your document.
  4. Collect your print job from any printer.

Print from a University PC

UniPrint devices are installed on every University PC. Once you're ready to print your document, select Uniprint ricoh from the list of available printers.

Install a University printer on your personal laptop

  1. Ensure your device is connected to Eduroam.
  2. Visit Apps Anywhere and search for UniPrint.
  3. Click on UniPrint and download and run the installer.
  4. Send your print jobs to the UniPrint Ricoh printer on your laptop.

Install a University printer on your Mac

For University-supplied Macs

  1. Open Spotlight and search for Self Service.
  2. Open the app, scroll to UniPrint (Ricoh), and click Install.
  3. You should now see Uniprint Ricoh in your list of printers.

For personal Macs

  1. Download the driver: RICOH IM C4500 PS
  2. Open the DMG and install the PKG file. Skip printer selection during installation.
  3. Open System Preferences/System Settings.
  4. Search for Printers & Scanners and click Add printer, scanner or fax.
  5. Right-click (or Control-click) the toolbar and choose Customise Toolbar....
  6. Drag Advanced to the toolbar and select it.
  7. From the Type dropdown, choose Internet Printing Protocol (https).
  8. Enter the URL: https://ipp.st-andrews.ac.uk/printers/queue-ricoh
  9. Name: Uniprint IPP
  10. Use: Select Software... and choose RICOH IM C4500 PS.
  11. Click OK, then Add.
  12. Send a test job to the printer and delete it once received. Setup is now complete.
  13. Authenticate with your short username. For example, abc123.
  14. If the print job still appears in your Mac's print queue, restart your Mac and try to print again.
