Request maintenance or repair
Updated on: 10 December 2025
The University provides maintenance, cleaning, groundskeeping, and facilities support services across its buildings and outdoor spaces.
Most of the support provided by the University's Estates team is based on requests from staff. If you notice that something needs to be repaired or maintained, you should report it.
Urgent and emergency requests
Urgent requests should only be for work that cannot wait until the next day. Emergency situations are situations that may threaten personal safety or the integrity of a building, building services, equipment or grounds.
Urgent and emergency requests should be made by telephone:
- Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, phone +44 (0)1334 46 3999
- After 5pm and at weekends, phone 8999 from an internal extension or +44 (0)1334 46 8999 from an external line
