Buy IT equipment and software licences

Learn how University staff can request hardware and software, check product availability or request items that aren't listed.
You should buy software and hardware from IT Services to ensure they are compatible with University systems and meet the University's security standards.
Windows devices and standard software
Use the IT purchasing store to order any of the following:
- Windows devices and bundles
- Accessories like bags and headsets
- Microsoft Visio
- Microsoft Project
- Adobe Creative Cloud
How to place an order
- Log in to the IT purchasing store using their University username and password.
- Select Add to basket.
- Review products and proceed to Checkout.
- Enter your cost centre, analysis code and budget holder information.
Order confirmation
After submitting your form, you will receive a confirmation email from IT Services.
Delivery times
IT Services aim to deliver stock items within three to four working days, but this may increase to five working days during peak times. You can check the current status of your request in IT Self Service.
Apple products
If you require an Apple product, you should contact IT Services for a discounted rate.
- Decide which product you would like from the Apple price list.
- Before placing your order, consider whether you'll need to purchase adapters for network and audiovisual connections.
- Order your product.
IT Services will be in touch to confirm your order. You can track the status of your order in IT Self Service.
Delivery times
- Standard products arrive in 5 working days.
- Non-standard products arrive in 15 to 20 working days.
