CV, cover letter and LinkedIn profile advice

The Careers Centre offers appointments to help you develop or improve your CV, cover letter and LinkedIn profile. Please note that if you are writing a personal statement for postgraduate study, you should instead book a careers advice appointment.

No matter what stage you’re at, the Careers Centre’s professionally trained CV advisers can support you. Appointments are designed to be collaborative, and CV advisers will work with you to meet your goals.

Before booking an appointment, consider getting immediate, AI generated feedback on your CV or cover letter by submitting your CV or cover letter to CareerSet. Students can access CareerSet using their university email address. Graduates can access CareerSet by contacting careers@st-andrews.ac.uk for an access code.

Advisers will only review what you upload during the appointment, not in advance.
