Abstract
One sort of inference made in contemporary political philosophy is to use reasonable disagreement about justice (RDJ) to justify a “view of politics”. Call these “disagreement to politics” inferences (DTP). When making DTP inferences political theorists use an explanation of RDJ to justify one “view of politics” over another. The Conceptual View is, I say, a family of theories that explain RDJ by citing facts about concept possession and use as difference makers. This paper/chapter is about arguing for a theory that offers a better Conceptual Explanation of RDJ than the extant theories. The paper/chapter concludes with some upshots for what it will take for DTP inferences to work.
