Car parking
Free car parking is available throughout the complex. Cars are left at your own risk and you are advised to leave no valuables in them.
Catered guests
Your bedroom will be serviced daily. Tea and coffee-making facilities are available in your bedroom. If applicable, all meals will be served in the facilities building, with meal times displayed on the Bistro noticeboard. Please present your room key to the Bistro staff when you arrive.
Staff will try not to disturb you, however, they may need to enter your apartment to carry out health and safety checks. Staff will always knock on your door and will be identifiable by a uniform. If you have any concerns, please contact reception.
Facilities building
Reception is open daily from 8am to 8pm. You will find vending machines for drinks and snacks, an ATM machine and an Amazon locker in the foyer.
Fire alarm
Details of fire procedures can be found in your room. You should familiarise yourself with all the fire exits within your building. If you need assistance to evacuate in an emergency, please contact a member of staff as soon as possible after arrival.
There is a fire alarm test every Wednesday between 9am and 10.30am.
The fire sensors in each room are extremely sensitive. Be careful when using hairspray, perfume, aftershave, and similar items as they may trigger the fire alarm.
General enquiries
The residence office/reception is open daily from 8am until 8pm. In the event of an emergency between 8pm and 8am please contact the duty person by calling +44 (0)1334 46 7222, then select option 2.
Keys
Your key card opens the main door to your building, apartment door and bedroom door.
If you want your bedroom door to remain unlocked while you are in your apartment, insert your key card into the lock twice in quick succession and the light will flash green. To lock your door, repeat the process and the light will turn red. This facility is not available in MacIver and Fairlie apartments. For security reasons, this facility should only be used while you are in the apartment. On departure, lock your bedroom door and return your key card to reception before your check-out time at 10am.
Laundry
Download the Washstation app to use the laundry services.
Lights
To use the lights in your bedroom, insert your key card into the slot next to the light switch. This is an energy-saving measure available in DRA only.
Self-catered guests
Flats are cleaned for arrival, but there is no cleaning service for stays of less than one week. If you are staying for more than one week, residence staff will change beds and empty the bins.
Your kitchen will have a range of cooking equipment, crockery, cutlery, and tea and coffee-making facilities.
Instructions for operating all equipment are in the kitchen drawer. At the end of your stay, please:
- leave your accommodation in good condition
- move any furniture items back to their original position
- keep all areas clean and tidy.
You should empty bins daily and use the recycling facilities close to your apartment block.
