To apply to our Exchange or International Study Abroad Programme at the University of St Andrews, please complete an appropriate application form. It is important that you select the correct application form based on your level of study, fee status, faculty, and the duration of your planned period of study, as requirements differ between programmes
The application cycle for September 2026 entry will run from Monday 2 February 2026 - Wednesday 15 April 2026.

For applicants who have not yet completed a full degree programme.
Undergraduate applicants should complete the appropriate online application form. Applicants must upload all supporting documents to the online applicant portal.
The University of St Andrews is comprised of a number of Academic Schools and Departments which are organised into four Faculties. Please refer to the information on our website and ensure you submit the correct application form below before submitting an application. Students should apply either for an Exchange place or for our fee-paying International Study Abroad Programme.
Exchange Applications
The University of St Andrews can only accept exchange students from universities with which we have a formal reciprocal agreement. You must be nominated by your home university before submitting an application form. Please contact your home university first if you have any questions about your eligibility or the nomination process.
Exchange Divinity (Semester 1)
International Study Abroad Programme
Students who wish to study abroad in St Andrews out-with a reciprocal exchange agreement should apply for our fee-paying International Study Abroad Programme. This includes students who self-fund their studies, students whose fees are paid for by a partner institution or provider, as well as students who have been nominated by their home institution to study abroad out-with a reciprocal exchange agreement. If you or your home institution will cover programme fees for your studies abroad, please select one of the following application forms:

Postgraduate Taught applicants should complete the appropriate online application form. Applicants must upload all supporting documents to the online applicant portal.
