• Raise a concern

  Before raising a concern, please ensure that the issue is defined as research misconduct in line with the Research Misconduct Policy (PDF) .
  

  Individuals within the University can contact a trusted impartial colleague in confidence, which may include their supervisor or line manager or the director of research in their School.

  Individuals within and outwith the University:

  • Although not the preferred route, individuals can get in contact in accordance with the University's Code on Public Interest Disclosure (Whistleblowing).

• Make an allegation

  Any persons considering making a formal allegation should read the Research Misconduct Policy (PDF) , the Research Misconduct Policy Annexe (PDF) and the Research Misconduct Allegation Proforma (Word) in full, in particular the guidance in paragraphs 7 to 11 of the annexe.

  This University asks you to make any allegations in your own name. Allegations of research misconduct must be written on the Research Misconduct Allegation Proforma (Word) and along with any appended documents must be sent to the Vice-Principal (Research, Collections & Innovation) via email at researchintegrity@st-andrews.ac.uk or post to:
