Sub-Committee on Technical Professional Development

The Sub-Committee on Technical Professional Development oversees career development for technical staff across the University through strategic initiatives that scope, listen to and leverage the existing career needs of our technician community. This sub-committee upholds the ambitions of the Technician Commitment and fulfills the need for a collective, institution-wide approach to the sustainability of technical careers.

The Sub-Committee is comprised of representatives from the technical professionals of the University across schools and grades, alongside representatives from HR and OSDS.  

This Sub-Committee sits in relation to other entities as per the diagram in the 'Framework' section of the Research, Impact and Innovation Committee webpage.

This Sub-Committee recruits new representative members every 3 years using a simple and open process, as per the relevant section below.
