Research, Impact and Innovation Committee
The Research, Impact and Innovation Committee informs, influences and facilitates the University-wide oversight and coordination of the activities related to facilitating excellent research, impact and innovation and a thriving research environment. The Committee reports to Academic Council.

This section explains the relationship between the Academic Senate, the Research, Impact and Innovation Committee, its sub-committees, and related groups involved in research governance and policy development.

The Academic Senate has a two-way relationship with the Research, Impact and Innovation Committee.

The Research, Impact and Innovation Committee reports to, and receives input from, Academic Senate.

- Chair: Vice-Principal (Research, Collections and Innovation)
- Members include Provost, and Professional Services representatives from Research and Innovation Services (RIS), Planning, Human Resources, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) team, and academic Faculty EDI leads.
- From each Research, Impact and Innovation Committee sub-committee: the academic lead, and the chair from Professional Services.
- Secretariat: Research and Innovation Services (RIS).
