Vacancies for Associate Lecturer (Education Focused) and Lecturer in Computational Mathematics/Statistics

24 February 2021

The School of Mathematics and Statistics is seeking to enhance its approach to teaching through re-developing the way computing in mathematics and statistics is taught across its curriculum. In order to support this updated approach, the School is seeking a permanent Lecturer and a 4 year Associate Lecturer (Education Focused) to deliver teaching activities in mathematical and statistical computing.

For informal enquiries, we encourage those considering applying to contact the Head of School, Professor Mark Chaplain (mathshos@st-andrews.ac.uk), the Deputy Head of School, Professor Ineke De Moortel (idm2@st-andrews.ac.uk) or the Director of Teaching, Dr Antonia Wilmot-Smith (aw37@st-andrews.ac.uk).

We are fully committed to equality and diversity in our recruitment and employment policies. We operate family-friendly hours for core meetings and are happy to discuss flexible working arrangements for staff.

Applications are particularly welcome from women, people from the Black, Asian, Minority or Ethnic (BAME) community and other protected characteristics who are underrepresented in Academic posts at the University.

The University of St Andrews is committed to equality for all, demonstrated though our working on diversity awards (ECU Athena SWAN/Race Charters; Carer Positive; LGBT Charter and Stonewall). More details can be found at https://www.st-andrews.ac.uk/hr/edi/diversityawards/.
