Research and Innovation Services

Research and Innovation Services, under the direction of the Vice Principal for Research, Collections and Innovation, is responsible for formulating and implementing University policy, planning and coordinating developments.

They facilitate a number of schemes to enable St Andrews researchers to deliver high-quality research, impact and innovation. They can assist in seeking external funding, in pre- and post-award management, and also operate a series of funding schemes accessible to researchers within the University.

Research and Innovation Services can also provide help and resources to researchers who want to generate impact from their research. 

University Library

The University Library provide a number of services to help researchers plan for, manage and publish their research.

Open Research team

The Open Research team provides support on open access, research data management and the journal hosting service.

Technology Transfer Centre

The Technology Transfer Centre enhances the impact of the University research portfolio through engagement with industry and non-industry partners, supporting those involved in research through the translation of knowledge and intellectual property.

Centre for Educational Enhancement and Development (CEED)

The Centre for Educational Enhancement and Development (CEED) provides joined-up learning and teaching support to staff and students, combining educational development, pedagogical workshops, technology-enhanced learning and IT skills, and academic and study skills support.

Peer Review College (PRC)

Members of the Peer Review College (PRC) provide a supportive network across the University as reviewers serving on internal selection panels.

Corporate Communications

The Corporate communications team can help tailor media strategies across the whole research journey. They can work with academic journals and specialist journalists' pre-publication as well as highlighting ongoing research in the broader global media landscape.
