Induction

The Academic English Service (AES) is designed to meet the needs of users of English as an additional language within the University. The service is delivered through a combination of online resources, including:

• tutorials
• workshops
• English for Academic Purposes (EAP) toolkit
• conversation cafe.

The service is free of charge. To join the service, follow these steps:

1. Enrol into the AES Moodle course and book your first tutorial.
2. Email academicenglish@st-andrews.ac.uk to let the AES team know it is your first tutorial.

If English is not your first language, we recommend that you seek writing advice and study skills support from our colleagues in The Centre for Educational Enhancement and Development (CEED).
