Academic advising
The Academic advising process provides you with the advice necessary to make appropriate module choices for your registered programme, to keep your options open for as long as possible, and to address any academic problems should they arise.
You must complete the academic advising process, including meeting your Adviser of studies, every academic year.
Advising must be completed by 9am on the Monday of week three of teaching.
Failure to complete academic advising
If you do not complete the academic advising process, you will not be officially enrolled in any modules at the start of teaching, which may lead to academic problems at a later date.
If you fail to complete the process. and you are:
- an entrant student, you will not be allowed to start your studies and will have to re-apply to the University
- a returning student, your studies will be terminated, under the Failure to matriculate policy, without right to appeal
