About the Careers Centre
The Careers Centre’s mission is to help students understand themselves and find their place in the world. The centre educates, inspires and empowers students to equip them with the lifelong career management and enterprise skills they need to create meaningful and fulfilling careers, whatever their ambitions.
It doesn’t matter what stage you’re at in your career journey: the careers team is here to help you.

The Careers Centre offers services to:

AGCAS membership
The University of St Andrews is a member of the Association of Graduate Careers Advisory Services (AGCAS) and abides by the AGCAS Code of Ethics.
Impartiality
As a member of AGCAS, the Careers Centre is bound by a professional code of ethics that requires us to act impartially in the delivery of career development services. This gives students and graduates freedom to develop their own career paths based on their own individual interests.
We work with a wide range of local, national and international employers. We understand that some students may disagree with the ethics and practices of some organisations. We encourage students to respect the rights of others to engage with any employer or organisation, without abuse, interruption or interference.
If students wish to demonstrate their disagreement with the ethics or practices of any organisations attending our events, we will direct them to the Students' Association's advice on protests. The Careers Centre supports the right to peaceful protest.
