Business Transformation Portfolio Office

The business transformation board (BTB) and its portfolio of initiatives are supported by the Business Transformation Portfolio Office (BTPO). The BTPO consists of two teams:

  • delivery team
  • support team. 

The delivery team is made up of business analysts and project managers who work together on assigned initiatives as prioritised by the BTB.

The project manager and the business analyst both play leadership roles - the project manager for leading the team and delivering the solution and the business analyst for ensuring the solution meets the business need and aligns with business and project objectives. These two roles, equally, are required for project success.

The purpose of the support team is to provide:

  • strategic, planning and portfolio support services to enable strategy, prioritisation, senior management decision making
  • delivery support services to other staff delivering the BTP and its constituent programmes and projects
  • centre of expertise services through the provision of standard methods and processes, ensuring they are deployed appropriately through training, coaching, internal consultancy, knowledge management and assurance.
