I am currently a Reader in Physics and a Royal Society University Research Fellow at the School of Physics and Astronomy of the University of St. Andrews, in St. Andrews, Scotland.  Since 2007 I am also a member of the Instituto de Fisica de Liquidos y Sistemas Biologicos (IFLYSIB) in La Plata, Argentina.
     My topic of research is

 "Quantum criticality and the development of new methods to deal with complexity".
