History of USAPS
The University of St. Andrews Poker Society was formed by a group of friends in 2004 looking for more people interested in playing poker. Their love of the game proved so strong that they not only built up a large, loyal membership base but also sealed a sponsorship agreement with Betfred and founded the UK Student Poker Championship. It was during its first year (2004/2005 academic year) that USAPS grew from a mere vision to being not only one of the fastest growing Societies in the University, but also being at the forefront of student poker in the UK. 7 Years on, through the members love of the game and the continued support of Betfred, the society still continues to grow and attract more and more attention throughout Europe as one of the key societies associated with student poker.
