Location
The Universty of St Andrews is (somewhat unsurprisingly) located in the seaside town of St Andrews. The conference itself will be held in the Gateway building. Below is a google map of St Andrews showing some of the key locations that will be used during the conference.

Getting here by train.
The closest railway station to St Andrews is Leuchars station (about 6 miles away). There are regular direct services to Leuchars from Edinburgh Waverley, Dundee and Aberdeen. For more information on train times see the First Scotrail website. Upon arrival at Leuchars you can either choose to take a taxi to St Andrews (around £15 normally) or get the bus from Leuchars station to St. Andrews bus station. The buses run roughly every 15-20 minutes and the cost is around £2.30 for a single to St Andrews. Timetables can be found here.Getting here by bus.
Stagecoach in Fife offer a number of services to and from St Andrews. If you are travelling from England it is probably best to get a bus to Edinburgh or Glasgow and then the stagecoach service directly to St Andrews bus station. A single from Edinburgh to St Andrews costs £9.30.Getting here by car.
If you are travelling by car you can use the Tom Tom route planner to work out the best route for you to take. There is plenty of free parking in St Andrews including two large long term car parks (indicated on the map above) close to the conference accomodation. Parking in the town centre itself is by pay and display only and for a maximum of two hours.Getting here by plane.

Most people arriving by air will probably find it most convenient to fly to Edinburgh airport. From here you should proceed by airlink bus to the centre of edinburgh where you can either get the train or bus to St Andrews (see above).
