Welcome to the website of Polg@r's Knight$, a diverse team of chess players from around the world. We are based at Gameknot, an online, turn-based chess website. Turn-based chess is similar to correspondence chess, but much faster and easier to play. Gameknot members come from all over the world, making chess a truly global experience.

Polg@r's Knight$ Motto

"It's nice to be important, but it is more important to be nice"

Polg@r's Knight$ Agenda

- Try not to time out (unless it cannot be avoided e.g. illness, hospital)
- Behave calmly and in a controlled manner in any possible situation that might occur (opponents insult you, etc.)
- If possible, problems should be dealed with by the team captain
- The captain must always meet challenges as fairly (little rating difference) as possible
- Matches against teams notorious for meeting challenges unfairly will be avoided
- Team games should have priority over "just for fun" games
- Be willing analyse your game with your opponent if he/she requests it and you have the time
- Be willing to give analysis on your team member's recently completed team game if he requests it and you have the opportunity and skill to do it
- Know at least the basics about Judit Polgar, like the prefered openings
- Take part in the forums
