Welcome to the website of the University of St Andrews Liberal Democrat Society.
The Liberal Democrat Society exists to support liberal ideas and the Liberal Democrat Party in St Andrews, we also aim to reengage students with politics. We provide a platform for debate and discussion from different political viewpoints on a wide range of issues. Alongside educational events including speeches from top party members and panel discussions we also run social events throughout the year.
Our strong links with the party gives society members the opportunity to get involved in the wider party including conferences and campaigning. We are fortunate to have the University Chancellor and former party leader Sir Menzies Campbell as our local MP in North-East Fife.
