By rail:

All trains into Edinburgh stop at Edinburgh's main railway station, Waverley, which is located in the heart of the capital. From there exit the station and turn right onto Princes Street. West Register Street is directly opposite the Balmoral Hotel, approximately 75 yards from Waverley station. On West Register Street turn left and then right and the entrance to the Cafe Royal is marked with the Edinburgh Festival Fringe signage.

By road:

When arriving into Edinburgh by car follow signs for the city centre, A8. Car parks are located opposite the St James Centre on Leith Street and on New Street, behind the Waverley railway station.
