The 2SC2545/6/7 transistors are NPN small-signal transitors which offer a useful combination of low-noise, wide bandwidth, high gain, and good linearity. The 2SA1083/4/5 transistors are their PNP complimentary pairs. As a result, these transistors are an excellent choice for building audio frequency amplifiers as they can provide very good performance. They are especially useful in audio pre-amplifers and as voltage amplifier stages in audio power amps as they can work with emitter-collector voltages up to 100V and above. They are normally sold in the TO-92 plastic package.

When used with medium impedance signal sources (1 to 10 kOhms) they can provide noise figures well below 0.5dB across the audio band with around 1mA collector current.

The above ratings are typical figures at 25 Celsius. The voltages and currents are absolute maximum values. The other figures are typical for a collector current of a few millimamps.
