Notes for SEAJ Contributors

Articles in SEAJ cover all and any aspect of social, environmental and sustainable development accounting, accountability, reporting and auditing practice, research, theory and teaching. All contributions to Social and Environmental Accountability Journal (SEAJ) which fall within the scope of the journal (see below) are very welcome. The following notes are intended to act as guide to help contributors.

All contributions should be addressed, in the first instance, to SEAJ at:- csear@st-andrews.ac.uk
or by mail to:- CSEAR, School of Management, University of St Andrews, St Andrews, Fife, KY16 9SS, UK

General

  1. All contributions to SEAJ must be in English. (All contributors are asked to have the document spell-checked and, if at all possible, read by an independent person for sense. Editing may inadvertently change the sense of a contribution so greater initial clarity will ease the process.)
  2. All manuscripts should be double spaced; title, name of author(s ) and affiliation must appear on the cover page. The name of the author must not appear thereafter. The paper must contain a short abstract.
  3. All papers should be submitted to CSEAR in, where possible, electronic form in Word or equivalent format.
  4. Brevity, clarity, relevance and novelty are preferred in all contributions.
  5. All papers are subject to Editorial Review which will determine whether or not papers are then despatched for blind refereeing and/or for mentoring.
  6. References and citations should follow the Harvard System in the traditional manner.
  7. All authors, by the act of submission to SEAJ, will be held to have warranted that the submitted work has not been published or is currently submitted elsewhere, that it does not infringe any copyright legislation and contains nothing of a slanderous or libellous nature.

Character and Length of Papers

Manuscripts (and their size parameters) will broadly fall into the following categories:

Contributions larger than these guidelines will not normally be considered. If in doubt contributors are advised to contact CSEAR prior to submission.
