Comunn Ceilteach Oil-Tigh Chilrimhinn
Founded in 1796, Celtic Society is THE oldest student society in St Andrews.
Founded with the desire to maintain the Gaelic language, the society has expanded to involve many areas of Scottish life.
Our speciality is Scottish Country Dancing. We organise several weekly dance classes and visit other society dances all over the country. From Aberdeen to Newcastle and beyond, you'll find us reeling away with the best of them!
And everyone is welcome - from complete beginners to experienced Scottish Country dancers!
Each year we hold numerous ceilidhs, including one outdoors in the St Andrews Castle in May, and a course of Gaelic language lessons. More events are planned over the coming year, so keep watching our Events page, or get yourself subscribed to our mailing list!
To do this, or if you have any questions or suggestions for us, please contact us at celticsoc [at] st-andrews.ac.uk.
We are affiliated to the University of St Andrews Students' Association, a registered Scottish Charity (SC019883)
We're listed in the St Andrews Directory
