Since its establishment in 1967 by John Browne, the University of St Andrews Boat Club has achieved victories in numerous races across Britain. However, the Boat Club club has never experienced the spectacular growth that we have achieved over the past 5 years. Our Senior Four has achieved silver and bronze medals in the Scottish Universities Championship in April 2008, following their gold medal in the previous year. The crew is currently on summer break and is training hard for this coming year.

The Boat Club welcomes everyone from experienced rowers to complete novices. If you are an experienced rower, you will certainly enjoy our outings on River Tay, in Perth, every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. If you are a novice, the club will provide intensive coaching by one of our experienced rowers and coxes. Alternatively, if you do not want to row but still want to work on fitness, the Boat Club provides two circuits per week on top of weight sessions, erg sessions and cardio sessions.
