Travel to St Andrews

LEUCHARS TRAIN STATION is the nearest rail link to St. Andrews. From Leuchars delegates can take a taxi or coach to the town (journey time: approx. 10 to 15 minutes). Taxis are usually available in significant numbers at the station. However, we would recommend booking your taxi through one of the local companies prior to your departure or while on the train, providing your name and arrival details. Taxis charge approx. £9 per journey to St Andrews and £14 after 22:00. Local companies include:
Club Cars +44 (0) 1334 838 555 / 479 900
Golf City Taxis +44 (0) 1334 477 788
A2B Taxis +44 (0) 1334 840 682
Jay Taxis +44 (0) 1334 476 622.

Delegates can also take a coach (99A, 99B or 96) from Leuchars to St Andrews. Coaches leave the station regularly. Call Traveline on +44 (0) 8706 082 608 for coach times.

If you are interested in our AIRPORT COACH SERVICE, we need your reservations using our travel feedback form (DOWNLOAD FORM HERE: MSWord or PDF) by no later than Monday, August 23rd. We need to have exact numbers in order to ensure that the size of the shuttle meets the requirements of each trip. Therefore, without these details we cannot guarantee your place. If you have already sent us your form, you do not need to send it again.

The price of a one-way ticket will be £15. Tickets can be purchased by one of our BAM Ambassadors, wearing light blue polo shirts (marked Open Golf Championship, St. Andrews, 2005 - a job lot to keep the cost down!) located at the airport on the Domestic Arrivals side near the exit or COSTA Coffee shop.
