The Arché/CSMN Graduate Conference
2-4 November 2007

 
 
  We invite high-quality papers in the areas of Philosophy of Language, Philosophy of Logic, Epistemology, Metaphysics.  
 
  Keynote speakers:
Prof. Kit Fine (New York University) and
Prof. John Hawthorne (Magdalen College, Oxford)
Dr Gabriel Uzquiano (Pembroke College, Oxford).
 
 
  All papers will have Arché/University of St Andrews staff respondents, and will be followed by open discussion. Papers should be suitable for a 35-minute presentation and no longer than 5,000 words. Papers with analytic rather than purely historical content are preferred.  
 
 

Deadline for submission: 15th August 2007

 
 
  Electronic submissions are preferred. Papers can be submitted electronically, in .pdf, .ps, .txt, .rtf or .doc format, to .  
 
  Submissions in hard copy are also accepted at the following address:

  Applicants should submit the following for blind review: 1) a cover sheet including author name, title of paper, institutional affiliation and email address; 2) an abstract with no further information; and 3) a paper suitable for a 35-minute presentation and no longer than 5,000 words with no further information.  
 
  Notification will be given by late September.  
 
 

All travel expenses within the UK and accommodation expenses for graduate speakers will be covered.
