The group of academic staff and collaborators listed on this web site have available a number of PhD opportunities both in experimental and theoretical condensed matter physics. Here there is a list of available projects for 2011. Please contact the relevant project leader if you have interest.

The recently established Scottish Doctoral Training Centre in Condensed Matter Physics provides internationally leading training to doctoral level in the core discipline of condensed matter physics. It offers ten studentship places per annum for four-year PhDs. Information on available projects and application process can be found here.





SUPA Prize Studentships are available to outstanding applicants from all over the world, and pay full fees and maintenance stipend. Fifteen are available annually across the six SUPA physics departments in a competition advertised at www.supa.ac.uk
