Scholarships
You may be eligible for additional funding to help you make the most of your time at university. St Andrews offers a range of scholarships, usually based on financial need or academic excellence. Unlike a loan from a student loan service such as SAAS, you do not have to pay a scholarship back.
For entrant undergraduate students the St Andrews Access Scholarship Scheme groups a variety of different scholarships available each year with values ranging from £500 to £4,400 per year. Most are awarded for the duration of a student's course.
You can apply once to be considered for the following funding opportunities:
- St Andrews Access award
- Wardlaw Scholarships
- Students Association Scholarship
- Robertson Trust Scholarship
The St Andrews Access Scholarship Scheme was established in 2021 to provide financial assistance to academically gifted students who would otherwise struggle with the cost of studying at the University of St Andrews. Depending on your household income you could be eligible for a non-repayable guaranteed scholarship for the duration of your undergraduate course.
Applying for scholarships
After you have applied to study at St Andrews you can apply for scholarships and funding by logging into the student portal, My Application. You will receive an email with information on how to access My application where you will find the My Scholarships and Funding section.
