Digital proposals
Great universities constantly move forward. They anticipate, lead, adapt and are society’s engines of innovation and change. With that in mind, the University of St Andrews will launch an ambitious fundraising campaign in September 2024 to raise £300 million.
Our proposals outline in more detail the diverse and exciting projects and initiatives that your support can help us to deliver.
Support our strategic vision and help enhance our status as a world-leading, diverse, digital, sustainable and entrepreneurial centre of learning, teaching and research.
‘New College’
At the heart of the new campaign is the £100m redevelopment of the University’s first ‘New College’ in three centuries. It will be home to the School of International Relations and to a world-leading Business School.
Digital Nexus
Data and machine learning are rapidly transforming modern society. In the dynamic landscape of St Andrews, where tradition blends seamlessly with innovation, we are at the forefront of bringing history and the future to life.
Help shape that future through our new £50 million Digital Nexus building at the heart of the Science and Medicine Campus.
Scholarships
Scholarships have always been at the heart of learning and teaching at St Andrews – from the gift that first created four bursaries in 1450 to the scholarship that enabled Nobel Prize-winning pharmacologist James Black to begin his university studies.
Help us to continue to attract and admit students with outstanding academic potential and ensure that a St Andrews education is accessible to all, regardless of race, religion or background.
The St Andrews Prize for the Environment
The environment is at the heart of the University’s strategy and at the centre of that commitment is the St Andrews Prize for the Environment. This extraordinary global initiative, led by the University, recognises and supports innovative and inspirational responses to environmental challenges, including the climate crisis.
Endowed Chairs
Our continued excellence relies on our ability to attract global talent in an increasingly competitive marketplace. Endowed Chairs offer the opportunity to accelerate research in key areas of interest, spurring critical advances in knowledge and technology. Help us to position the University of St Andrews as a competitive destination for world-class academics and keep them here for the long term.
