Testimonials

Over the last five years, I have struggled with menopause symptoms and following the non-medical options, I tried HRT that resulted in side effects. The side effects were sometimes worse than the menopause symptoms, I felt like I was bothering my GP and gave up.

When the University offered Peppy, I immediately got in touch and asked for their help, they responded to my messages very quickly, understood the medications tried and encouraged me to go back to the doctor with a resolve to discuss. I am now on medication that works and feel so much better.

I would absolutely recommend getting in touch with Peppy, my every day is a better day.

I was very pleased to learn of the support from the University to partner with Peppy to support staff with Menopause and Men’s Health. I was beginning my own perimenopausal journey and, at the time, was struggling to effectively communicate with my GP and find the support I felt would benefit me.

I joined the service and have had a very positive experience with the Peppy Team, who have been extremely supportive and efficient in their communications. They have provided me with advice on my current level of support from my GP, how I may wish to approach future discussions with my GP, and also how to find information on which methods of HRT or alternatives may help with menopausal symptoms.

The advice provided is personal and based on questions asked through the private chat. The members of the team have proven to be qualified and knowledgeable. The team also follow-up with me through the private chat function to check-in on progress and how I am currently feeling.

Additionally, I was very pleased to see the Peppy App offers 1:1 appointments with their experts; many resources, such as courses and testimonials, which can be undertaken in your own time; and booking facility for the online events. I have much more to explore through the Peppy App by way of support through my perimenopause journey and look forward to continuing with the support from Peppy. I would highly recommend this service.

I have to say if it wasn’t for the support and advice given, I don’t think I would have had the confidence to broach the subject with my GP. So thank you for all your help so far.

I attended the Surviving Fertility webinar that was promoted during Fertility Awareness Week. The panel were fantastic and clearly highlighted the need for employers to strengthen the support available.

Signing up for the Peppy app has significantly impacted my lifestyle and confidence levels. I had just transformed my diet, and the exercise classes available through the app were the missing puzzle piece. I have been attending four or five classes per week, and the fact that they are available online (plus they send out recordings) means that I can easily fit them in alongside other responsibilities.

The knowledge and experience of the trainers is outstanding, and I would urge others to sign up. Peppy is so important for wellbeing, I would like to thank the University for making this possible and helping me to achieve a healthy and positive lifestyle.
