Postgraduate taught courses in Philosophy
The St Andrews and Stirling Graduate programme in Philosophy (SASP) is taught by the philosophy departments at the University of St Andrews and the University of Stirling, which together form Scotland’s premier centre for Philosophy and one of the top philosophy programmes in the United Kingdom. It offers different graduate degrees together with a Conversion Diploma.
- The Conversion Diploma is designed for applicants with a good undergraduate degree that is not in philosophy. It consists of a year of undergraduate philosophy coursework. Satisfactory performance on the Conversion Diploma may lead to the MLitt or MPhil.
- The standard route into SASP is through the MLitt programme, which consists of two semesters of coursework and a dissertation. Satisfactory performance on the MLitt may lead to the MPhil or PhD.
