Gibson-Sykora Masters Scholarships - Apply Now

7 October 2025

Applications are now being accepted for the Gibson-Sykora Masters Scholarships for Polish students. The scholarships are sponsored by the Gibson-Sykora Trust which was established in 1988 to support Polish students at the University of St Andrews.

There are two schemes available - 1 x award for a UK fee applicant and 1 x award for an international fee applicant. The scholarships are open to applicants who are Polish nationals looking to start a postgraduate Masters degree in September 2026 - including the School of Modern Languages' Masters in Comparative Literature and Masters in Global Languages, Literatures, and Cultures.

The scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic merit and financial need. Awards cover the applicable tuition fee.

You can apply for the scholarship after you have submitted your application for a place at St Andrews. You do not need to wait until you have received an offer of a place before applying for the award. See the scholarships catalogue for more information about the Gibson-Sykora Masters Scholarship for UK fee applicants and the Gibson-Sykora Masters Scholarship for international fee applicants.
