International conference on management teaching
The Management and Organisational Behavior Teaching Society International Conference (IMOBTS 2023) is coming to St Andrews in summer 2023, and will take place in the School of Management.
From Sunday 23 July 2023 through Wednesday 26 July 2023, IMOBTS 23 will welcome participants both online and in person, including the School's Honorary Professor Kathy Lund Dean, who will lead research and pedagogical workshops within the School prior to the event.
The conference will incorporate interactive and experiential sessions that share insights into effective teaching practices and life as an educator. Sessions will include these from School colleagues:
- Dr Shiona Chillas and, from the Centre for Educational Enhancement and Development, Dr Aisling Crean, roundtable discussion on, "Trustworthy AI in the classroom: from creativity to responsibility"
- Dr Giulia Giunti, roundtable discussion on, "Academics' work-life balance and academics-students interactions: a debate on debated topics"
- Dr Neha Gopinath, professional development workshop (PDW) on, "Embedding mental health and wellbeing in curriculum"
- Dr Xi Xi, roundtable discussion on, "Decolonising the curriculum in management".
In-person attendees who wish to receive a t-shirt and any other registration items, and session authors, must register using this form by Monday 22 May 2023.
